Nestled along the southeastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea, Israel offers kitesurfing enthusiasts a vibrant blend of history, culture, and ancient cities. With reliable winds, nice beaches, desert & picturesque landscapes, and diverse kite spots, Israel is emerging as a top destination for riders from around the world.

The kitesurfing season in Israel generally extends from April to October, with the peak season spanning from May to September. During this time, the region experiences consistent thermal winds known as the “Erez” or “sea breeze.” These winds originate from the northwest and offer riders reliable kitesurfing conditions. Wind speeds during the kitesurfing season typically range from 15 to 25 knots.

Ha Sharon Beach in Herzliya, just north of Tel Aviv, has a vibrant kitesurfing scene. The Herzliya Marina area, in particular, is known for its flat water conditions and steady winds. Beginners and freestyle riders frequent this spot, and there are kitesurfing schools and rental shops available. Also the beaches on the southern side of Tel Aviv are very kite-friendly (Dolfinarium, Bat Yam, Ashdod).

In the southernmost part of Israel, Eilat offers kitesurfing opportunities with a twist. Located on the shores of the Red Sea, Eilat is famous for its coral reefs and marine life. Kitesurfers can enjoy the unique experience of riding along the Red Sea coastline, surrounded by vibrant underwater landscapes.

Around the Haifa area, Bat Galim &Β Dado Beach are popular.
