Picnic Island Park is located in Port Tampa. It has an excellent view of the city. It encompasses 7.8 acres of sandy beach access. This park offers an area of beach, for canoeing, picnicing, fishing from the pier or explore the Picnic Island Bayou.

Dangers
Very poor launching area, There is not a very large beach to setup or launch from. Use caution.
It is your responsability to check whether kitesurfing is allowed at the spot; you might need a 'special permit' or membership from a local kite organization, etc. Local rules can change. Respect others - kiters or not; kite safely and enjoy the wind!
