Amenities include soda machines, bathrooms, running water, pavilions with picnic tables and grills. There is a grassy set up area to keep sand off of your kite. Tons of flat shallow water. 1/4 mile to the east is a big sand bar. See rays, sharks, tarpon, bonefish, bait fish, ospreys, and bald eagles.
Popular spot during great predicted wind weekends. Can get pretty crowded with kiters during those times.

Dangers
Booties or foot protection are not necessary but recommended for beginners due to some sharp rocks, urchins, and coralline algae. Watch for submerged rocks and super slippery mud (marl) at the waters edge. Watch for the park volunteers in the golf carts, some times they run over your kite lines with their golf carts.
It is your responsability to check whether kitesurfing is allowed at the spot; you might need a 'special permit' or membership from a local kite organization, etc. Local rules can change. Respect others - kiters or not; kite safely and enjoy the wind!
