It has good winds typically between 13-20 MPH in the summer and stronger in the winter. There is a bank meaning that you have shallow water up to your hip for up to a mile out. This allows beginners to easily start kitesurfing whilst having enough dept for safety. There is also a great kitesurfing school called “Essex Kitesurfing School” lead by Simon where they offer beginner courses and rent kitesurfing and SUP boarding equipment.
Season all year round.
It is your responsability to check whether kitesurfing is allowed at the spot; you might need a 'special permit' or membership from a local kite organization, etc. Local rules can change. Respect others - kiters or not; kite safely and enjoy the wind!
