Sicily’s prime kite season runs from April to October, with summer months offering the most consistent conditions. The main wind players here are the Mistral (blowing from the northwest, bringing stronger, steady winds) and the Scirocco (a warm, gusty wind from the Sahara). Wind speeds range from 12 to 25 knots, making it a great destination for all levels.

Lo Stagnone Lagoon – Sicily’s kitesurfing paradise! This shallow, flat-water lagoon near Marsala is perfect for beginners and freestylers. The wind is steady, the water is warm, and you can practically stand up anywhere.

Mazara del Vallo (Capo Feto) – A hidden gem for kitesurfers, this spot offers vast sandy beaches, shallow waters, and reliable winds. It’s less crowded than Lo Stagnone but still provides great conditions for both beginners and advanced riders.
