Access: 15 minutes drive from Blenheim. Take Highway One north out of Blenheim, and turn right before Tuamarina. Head to the end of Wairau Bar Rd. Plenty of parking but no facilities.
Water: Best when not flooding or current is too strong. Flat in the river and up to 2m out on bar. Watch: Outgoing river current especially at the entrance.
