Is it possible to kite from Lukuri Island – but the launching spots are very small, especially at high tide. Kiting at low tide is not recommended (depending on wind direction), as you need to stay upwind of the island, which can be problematic. Also, breezes may be more than the forecast suggests, esp during mid season, we had 10-15 knots most days when then forecast was for 5-10.
It is your responsability to check whether kitesurfing is allowed at the spot; you might need a 'special permit' or membership from a local kite organization, etc. Local rules can change. Respect others - kiters or not; kite safely and enjoy the wind!
