Egypt is a formidable destination for kiting and a great destination for those that want to progress on flat water. You can optin for well known areas nearby Hurghada such as Safaga, El Gouna or Soma Bay.

The best time of the year to kitesurf in Egypt starts in April and ends in October. In June and August, the wind can reach a speed up to 85 knots. Even though there are many spots suitable for all levels of riders, it’s recommended to kitesurf here after you’ve learned the basics, as the winds and waves might be unpredictable.

The political situation in Egypt is somehow unstable and depending on recent events, access to certain areas might be prohibited. We recommend checking the travel advice before booking and going on a trip. Egypt offers some stunning kite spots and kite safari options! Some are harder to reach or you might need to drive every day, but it’s a great kite destination and you won’t regret kiting over the coral reefs of Red Sea!
