Silver Rock and Silver Sands, are two adjacent beaches in the South of Barbados. Famous in the ’80s and ’90s for its windsurfing World Cups and as a fantastic spot for kitesurfers. Flat conditions on the inside and nice rolling waves on the reef that can easily get 3,5 meters on the bigger days. The locals a very friendly and helpful. Barbados has a wonderful vibe and many kiters tend to go back after one visit.
It is your responsability to check whether kitesurfing is allowed at the spot; you might need a 'special permit' or membership from a local kite organization, etc. Local rules can change. Respect others - kiters or not; kite safely and enjoy the wind!
